In 1930 F. Malayev graduated from the Higher Art & Tech Institute (VKhUTEIN), V. Favorsky, P. Kuznetsov, N. Chernyshev, K. Istomin studio. He entered a membership of the Russia Proletariat Artists' Association ("The RAPKh"in Russian abbr.). He participated regularly in exhibitions since 1927. In 1977 he was awarded a title of a Honoured Artist of the Russian Federation. He's got diplomas of the Moscow City Department of the Artists' Union (MOSKh) and the Moscow City Department of the RSFSR Art Foundation. The artist's works are exhibited in the Central Museum of Revolution, State Tretyakov's Gallery, Saratov Arts Museum named after A. Radishchev and in others as well as in private collections.
