S. Guzikov is a painter. He pursued painting in Moscow as a landscapist
and portraitist for the most part. His works have been exhibited since 1905 at
the exhibitions of Academy of Arts, "Free Creative Work" (1911-1918), "Fellowship
of Mobile Art Exhibitions" (TPKhV in Russian abbr., the 47th
and the 48th in 1922 and 1923
correspondently), AKhRR (the 6th in 1924) etc. During 1910-1921 he was
a member of "The Moscow Salon" Group. In 1925 he entered the membership of "The
United Art" Group and then of "The Assembly" Group (together with P.I.
Petrovichev, L.V. Turzhansky and others). In 1929 a postcard depicting one of his
canvas has been printed in AKhR Publishing House.
