From 1920 up to 1925 G. Kostyukhin studied in Moscow State Art Printing
Workshops on a class of painting under tutorial of L.F. Zhegin, N.M. Chernyshev,
M.S. Rodionov, S.V. Gerasimov (after 1923 - under tutelage of K.S. Melnikov,
F.A. Modorov, P.I. Kotov.). He entered a membership of "The Path of Pictorial
Art" Group which was comprised in 1926. The 1st Exhibition of the Group took place in 1927.
Next exhibition was managed by Gallery Bilier, Paris, in 1928;
then in London and Brussels. The painter's
works are located in the A.S. Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts, State Tretyakov's
Gallery, Moscow Regional Ethnography Museum (Istra Town), Yaroslavl Arts Museum, Donetsk Arts Museum, as well as in
private collections.
