Olga Vaulina studied at the Vhutein in Leningrad (1921-1926) under
A.E. Karev's and M.V. Matyushin's tutelage. She was a member of the ZORVED Group
and the KORN (Russian abbr. stands for: "The Collective of Broadened
Observation. A group of Artists") - Petrograd, Leningrad, 1919-1932. The
group consisted of M.V. Matuyshin's students from "The Studio of Spatial
Realism". In 1924 works of the group were exhibited at the XIV International
Art Exhibition in Venice. The group's most
significant achievement was a collective work "Variability Laws of Colour
Combinations. Colour Reference Book" (M., 1932, 425 copies). In 1934-1937 she studied
at the Academy of Arts under A.
Osmerkin's tutelage. Olga Vaulina is the author of such paintings in oil as
"CottonPicking"(1934), "Kolkhozniky (The Collective Farmers)"(1941).
