DOBRYNIN PYOTR SEMYONOVICH

Studied at the Kazan’ Art School (1896-1902), then in the Academy of Arts (since 1902) at F.A. Rubo studio. In 1908 got the first prize for the sketch ”Falcon hunting”,

In 1911 was awarded the title of Artist for the picture “Tsar Construction. 17th cent.” Lived in Simbirsk, then in Moscow. Member of the “Association of Independent”(1910-1917). In 1906 worked for St. Petersburg satire magazines. In 1914-1915 made sketches from the front of the First World War. After the October Revolution completed a serial of works dedicated to Lenin’s places in Simbirsk. Author of the well-known posters. Took part in the creations of dioramas for the Revolution Museum in Moscow (1930s), for the World Exhibition in New-York (1939), for the All-Union Agricultural Exhibition (1939), etc. His works were exposed at the International Exhibition in Venice (1914).
