UDALTSOVA NADEZHDA ANDREYEVNA 1886 – 1961
Nadezhda Udaltsova was a painter, drawer, landscape painter, portrait painter. She worked in genre-painting, monumental painting, still life; created cubic-futuristic compositions. She was one of the leading artists of Russian avant-garde. She stood to the point that the Art should follow the Nature. Studied at K.F. Yuon Art School in 1906 as well as in different Moscow art studios in 1909-1911. She co-operated with V.E. Tatlin and L.S. Popova. Member of the following associations : “Knave of Diamonds”, “0.10”, “The World of Art” (“Mir Iskusstva”), Group”13” and others. In 1918 Udaltsova was teaching at the State Free Art Workshops (GSKhM) (assistant to K.S. Malevich). |
