VLADIMIRSKY BORIS YEREMEYEVICH

Kiev, 1878 – Moscow, 1950

 

Studied at the Kiev School of Art at N.K.Pimonenko’s and I.F.Seleznev’s workshop in 1901-1904; graduated from the Munich Academy of Arts in1908 (studied at K.Marr’s and A.Wagner’s workshop).

Was in charge of the Ya.M.Sverdlov Art Studio in the Kremlin in the 1920s. Was an artist at “Pravda” newspaper.

Member of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia. Member of the USSR Union of Artists.

Participated in exhibitions since 1906:

  • 1906,1907 – personal exhibitions in the Krauze Salon (Munich, Germany).
  • 1909, 1913 – international exhibitions.
  • 1927 – Prague; Vienna.
  • 1929 – Cologne, Germany.

Participated in all exhibitions of the Association of Artists of Revolutionary Russia since 1922.

1914, 1936, 1939, 1950 – personal exhibitions, Moscow.

Works of the artist are kept in the collections of the State Tretyakov Gallery, the Central V.I.Lenin Museum (Moscow, Leningrad), art museums of Dnepropetrovsk, Nizhny Novgorod, Lugansk and other cities as well as in private collections in Russia and abroad.

Artist’s works were presented at Sotheby’s auctions in London in 1996 (lots ## 178, 180), in1998 (lots ## 84,94); at “Dorotheum” auction in Vienna in 1999 (lots ## 10,66,83,85).
